Thanks so much for the kind and constructive feedback—super helpful! Can’t believe I forgot the sound controls! 😅 Glad you picked up on the neutral UI—I know it still needs work, but it’s great to hear it came through. The “clank” actually had a visual aid that must’ve been turned off at some point—thanks for catching that! Totally agree on needing a tutorial. Regarding stereotypes, I went with anthropomorphic animals from Japan to avoid those pitfalls, but if anything feels off, I’m all ears. And your headcanon? Nailed it! That’s exactly the backstory. I’d love to update the title screen to reflect that context—bandits attacking a village and the samurai stepping in, that might work as a justification of the conflict at least. Thanks again!
(I'm posting this same reply on YouTube, i assume engagement over there is preferable)

Victory! I played the game twice to beat it without dying the second time.

The game is fun! Although they're not all completely intuitive at first, the behaviours of the enemies and of the attack of the player make sense and work well in the end.

Not that it matters but the buttons on the Victory screen don't work for me by the way.

Wow, thanks so much for taking the time to play! It’s still a work in progress—I made it public mainly to gather feedback, so I really appreciate it. I hadn’t realized the Victory screen buttons were broken, so thanks for pointing that out!

I totally agree that I need to make the info more approachable; it’s got a pretty high entry barrier right now.

Your feedback helped me catch a bug and confirm a few suspicions—much appreciated! :D
